FES International congratulates charity hero for conquering the North Pole
30th January 2016Alan Davison, friend of FES International, has recently completed a 26 mile marathon in the harsh conditions of the North Pole. Supported by FES, Alan finished 7th out of 45 in an impressive time of 6 hours 55 minutes, and waved the FES International flag as he crossed the finish line.
The marathon, which has been running for 13 years, saw the competitors traverse ice, deep snows and ridges only a matter of feet above the Arctic Ocean. Alan completed the marathon to raise funds for Cancer Research and also the Bobby Robson Foundation, the official charity for the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Subsea engineering firm, FES International, donated £1,000 to these fantastic causes to mark Alan’s impressive achievement. Congratulations from all the team.
